Caffeine Helps Premmies To Breathe Easier

I've never thought that caffeine could solve the breathing difficulty of premature babies.



The doctors at the Royal Women's Hospital in Melbourne gave a regular dose of caffeine to half of 140 premature babies when they were born.


According to Professor Lex Doyle, the lead author of the study, he found that "of the children who had caffeine as babies, there were half as many with concerning levels of lung function when they were 11".
